cPanel/WHM for Agencies · Canada

Managed cPanel/WHM hosting for agencies in Canada

Stack Harbor is a Montréal-based managed service provider that hosts and runs cPanel/WHM servers for digital agencies in Canada and the United States, on its own infrastructure in two data centres in Montréal.

For agencies hosting client sites on cPanel/WHM, and for resellers who want their own brand in front of their clients.

Who It's For

A good fit when your developers are patching servers instead of building.

Not a Fit

  • One site on a shared hosting plan: a managed server is more than you need.
  • You want per-account prices on a public rate card.
  • You need a provider that holds its own SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification.
  • You plan to leave cPanel altogether: our Managed Cloud Ops or Enterprise WordPress offers fit better.

A Good Fit

  • Agencies hosting dozens of client sites on one or more cPanel/WHM servers.
  • Agencies whose senior developers lose hours to server patching and mail issues.
  • Agencies whose Canadian clients want their sites hosted in Canada, in Montréal.
  • Resellers who want to keep their own brand in front of their clients.

What We Run

The servers, so your team can build.

The exact scope is written into your quote. These are the parts most agency cPanel engagements include.

Servers

  • cPanel/WHM servers in our two Montréal data centres, including eStruxture facilities
  • WHM root-level administration
  • OS and cPanel patching in agreed change windows
  • Security hardening and ModSecurity tuning

Client Accounts

  • Malware triage, with the affected account isolated
  • Account and package changes on request
  • Account moves between servers, scoped separately

Agency Model

  • White-label by default: your clients see your agency
  • Co-managed when your team keeps part of the work
  • Existing cPanel servers at other hosts taken over after a review

Support

  • Requests through the support desk
  • Senior engineer escalation on Sev-1 incidents
  • A Canadian-resident senior engineering team
  • An account manager you can phone

The SLA Facts

What the service level agreement commits to.

These are the committed terms. The agreement page has the full text, including the other severity levels.

  • Sev-1 Acknowledged Within 15 Minutes

24/7, on plans that include incident coverage. An operator confirms the incident and starts work or escalation; it is not an automated receipt.

  • 99.9% Monthly Uptime

The uptime commitment in the service level agreement, with the service credits it defines.

  • Support Desk, Senior Escalation

Requests go through the support desk. A Sev-1 incident is escalated to a senior engineer. The phone reaches your account manager.

  • Hosted in Montréal

Two Montréal data centres, including eStruxture facilities. Servers placed there are hosted in Canada.

Example Scenario

What stabilizing a crowded cPanel server looks like.

Example Scenario

Stabilizing a multi-tenant cPanel/WHM platform that had stopped delivering mail

About 80 cPanel accounts on one WHM server, mail delivery collapsed, PHP processes killed for memory and ModSecurity blocking real traffic: six weeks of in-place stabilization.

This is an example scenario: an illustrative engagement that shows how the work is done, not a specific client.

Common Questions

Managed cPanel/WHM hosting for agencies: answers.

  • What is managed cPanel hosting for agencies?

We host and run the cPanel/WHM servers your client sites live on: WHM administration, OS and cPanel patching, security hardening, monitoring, malware response and incident response. Your agency keeps the clients, the design and the build work; we keep the servers healthy.

  • Are the servers hosted in Canada?

Yes, when they run on our infrastructure: two data centres in Montréal, including eStruxture facilities. We can also manage cPanel servers you already have with another host, and those stay where that host runs them.

  • Can you work white-label?

Yes. By default your agency is the face to your clients, and we work behind the scenes. Co-managed arrangements, where your team keeps some of the work, are also common.

  • Can you take over cPanel servers we already run elsewhere?

Yes: dedicated servers, VPS instances and cloud servers already running cPanel/WHM. The engagement starts with a review of OS and cPanel versions, patch state, backup coverage and security posture, so the quote reflects what is really there.

  • What does the SLA commit to?

Sev-1 incidents are acknowledged within 15 minutes, 24/7, on plans that include incident coverage, and the monthly uptime commitment is 99.9%. The full terms are on the service level agreement page.

  • Does my data stay in Canada?

Workloads placed in Stack Harbor’s Montréal data centres are hosted in Canada. Environments you keep on AWS or another provider stay where that provider runs them. Where backups and any third-party services (a CDN, email delivery) store data is written into your scope, so check those if your residency requirement covers them.

  • Do we need CloudLinux or LiteSpeed to work with you?

No. We work with the stack you run, Apache or LiteSpeed, with or without CloudLinux. If the current configuration creates isolation or operational risk, the review says so, but no licensing change is required to start.

  • Can you move client accounts between servers?

Yes, single accounts or whole servers. Migration work is scoped separately from ongoing management, so the cutover plan and the rollback path are agreed before any DNS change.

  • How much does it cost?

Stack Harbor publishes no prices. Each engagement is scoped to its drivers (sites, traffic, footprint, incident coverage) and gets a fixed quote after a scoping call.

  • Is Stack Harbor SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?

No. Stack Harbor holds no SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS or HIPAA certification of its own. The facilities and platforms underneath hold their own attestations, and your auditor makes the determination. The trust page sets out the position in full.
