Navigate the console

Find your way around the Stack Harbor console — the left sidebar map, breadcrumb, global search, and top-bar shortcuts.

This page shows how to find your way around the Stack Harbor console: the left sidebar that maps every area, the breadcrumb that tells you where you are, and the search that jumps you straight to a resource.

Where to find it

The left sidebar is on every page and is the primary way you move around. The Dashboard item sits at the top and takes you home; everything else is grouped below it.

The sidebar, group by group

The sidebar is divided into labelled groups. From top to bottom:

  1. Dashboard — your home view.
  2. Services — Infrastructure and Application Hosting. Infrastructure is collapsible: select it to expand its pages (Deploy New Resources, Activity, Servers, Snapshots, IP Addresses, SSH Keys, Templates, Billing), and select it again to collapse them.
  3. Resources — Monitoring and Network Tools.
  4. Support — Support Desk.
  5. Account — Profile, History, Security, Preferences.
  6. Workspace — Billing and Members & Teams.

The page you are on is highlighted, and a small dot marks the active item.

Moving around

  • Open a page — select any sidebar item. It loads in the main panel while the sidebar keeps its place.
  • Read the breadcrumb — the top-left of the top bar shows the area you are in (for example, “Infrastructure”), so you always know your location.
  • Search — the magnifying glass in the top bar opens global search. Use it to reach a resource by name instead of clicking through the tree.
  • Account menu — the person icon at the far right of the top bar opens your account options; the notification and message icons sit next to it.
  • Footer links — Docs, Knowledgebase, and Service Status sit at the bottom of every page.

Expand and collapse

Some groups reveal sub-pages when opened. Infrastructure shows a collapse control when it is expanded; Network Tools, History, and Security show a + you select to expand them. Collapsing a group you are not using keeps the sidebar short and easier to scan.

Good to know

  • Entries marked SOON are not available yet. They are shown so you can see what is coming, but they do not open a page.
  • The console is in early access, so the sidebar will grow over time. The groups above are the stable structure to learn now.
